We’re gonna die!
Just when us Londoners thought last years summer couldn’t get any hotter, this upcoming Wednesday 19th looks to smash the July record of 36c (97F) seen in my old town of Surrey in 1911. Hell its hotter over here then most Spanish resorts and the Canery Islands!
The Met Office has issued weather warnings for London and the South East of England, so everyone will no doubt struggle. London buses have air conditioning apparently. I’m buggered if I can feel it because myself and many others are literally baking as we head home at the end of the day.
Given that I work at the top of a glass covered office/lab with a tin roof, the temperature up there gets, what can only be described as hotter then having two vindaloo’s on a night out followed by a chilli kebab. Today as I was leaving at 4pm, the temp was 38c. Taz paid me a visit and started sweating as she walked through the doors (not a nice sight I tell ya) because it was that bad. I don’t look forward to Wednesday’s predicted 35c.
Seriously though, I could joke about this weather but there’s always folks out there who can’t look after themselves as well as most people can. I refer to the elderly for the most part. If you have grandparents or elderly friends and neighbours, then take a few minutes out of your day to just check up on them and make sure they’re coping well in the heat. It’s important to stay well hydrated and not everyone has that luxury of getting up and walking to the kitchen for some water.
Just to give you an indication of how bad things are. I normally wake up to get ready for work at 04:30 in the morning. The temps are normally a nice, cool 20-24c in my room at this time. Right now as I type this having just woken up, it’s a stonking 29c and its hard to breathe
It’s only Tuesday for crying out loud!
There’s nothing nicer than a 43c Aussie Summer’s day. 36c is a mere walk in the park weatherwise

27 degrees here inside, not as bad now that the suns burnt up some of the humidity, the grass was soaking wet at 4am and I’m guessing that’s why this morning and early afternoon were horridly humid

I had the new air con units fitted into my office today. It was soo nice, yet still humid
Poor Darren, for those reading this, I was told by one of his colleagues that he’d fallen asleep at his desk just after lunchtime for a few mins 
Like I’m the only person who falls asleep at their desk
I’m not looking forward to tommorow at all now. It’s cool right now, but I just know when I wake up in a few hours to get ready, it’ll be boiling hot just like this morning. I need another holiday!

I’m about to go out and film in it during the hottest part of the day, with my skin I’m going to get frazzled even with the sunblock. That’s if I don’t pass out first.
Btw lo, just got my net connection fixed last night. Still downloading programs and stuff onto this pc but i’ll probably be on irc later.
lo matey! We thought you’d died! I just got home…travelling on teh bus home was an experience i’d rather not do again. More then half the bus got out earlier then normal, except for me who in true muppet style stayed on the bus till I got to my town. There were like 4 of us left!

It’s so hot over here at work still. I love this weather but not when I’m stuck at work. I swear I heard the bbc say it was going to be a stormy today yet its so clear and humid! Lies its all lies!
Not sure where darren is today. I haven’t seen him all morning so he’s either passed out in his lab, fainted or fallen in the tank I reckon

It’s looking really cloudy here now, very humid too I have a feeling we’ll get a storm soon as it’s been darkening constantly for the past hour or so. As long as it doesn’t damage my Xbox I dont mind!
