Hi Razor,
Oh I agree that there are the alternatives out there that are good, however they still need a lot of work. Microsoft's Zune from the outset was a heap of junk - it sounded promising but I knew right away that it would be poor.

Sansa have a superb range, and their players are genuine iPod Nano killers in their own right.

Toshiba's Gigabeat series is amongst the best players around, but are ugly buggers.

I wish iRiver marketed their players for Europe again. They had the most feature packed players around, and then they vanished. Their Clix player was awesome with its touchscreen (sorry Apple, you were hardly 'first') and just check out the iRiver NV!

I am losing out on a great deal by purchasing the 'Touch', but I am always after new technology and the all the current gen players and new alternatives offer me very little that I haven't seen before.

Only the Cowon, and Archos next gen players are truly worth a look at right now, and they are well out of my price range.

Strangely I am also a zen vision:m owner, I have the white one, as the black was rare when it first came out. I agree that it was a superb player on almost every count. Don't forget there are many alternatives out there aside from Apple players!

I'd still rather have a Zen over an iPod any day of the week, the iPod touch sounds like they're making it less useful.

Hell I'm still using a tiny iRiver - when I need to listen to MP3s, still don't see the need for anything the size of a bog standard iPod!
