No Canon i850 drivers yet...at least, ones that work. :-)

No biggie, I'll just print from my laptop, doesn't really matter, I hardly printer anything anyway.

However, I am seriously having strong reservations about purchasing another Canon printer, all because they won't provide up to date Vista x64 drivers.

This is how hardware manufacturers force you to upgrade to new hardware. I noticed quite a few Canon inkjet photo printers support Vista x64. Interesting, no?

Thesnipergecko, I'm in the same situation mate. This rig is a 4GB one too. I just hope the adoption of x64 gathers pace in 2008, it just has to.

Yeah mate. It's the OEM 32bit version of Home Premium. Basically the same as what I'm on now, except your copy is locked to your one machine only.

This is the very reason why I avoided the x64 version. There just isnt enough driver support available at the moment.

I've been running x86 for a while now with no driver issues at all. My only quibble with x86 is it only supports 3GB RAM, and I bought 4GB.
