…For You…

I’ll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You’ve been the only thing that’s right
In all I’ve done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we’ll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear

The Lost A-Team

As Season 3 of this ultra boring, overhyped up series gets closer, the parodies are already hitting video sites around the net. Here’s one of my favourite ones I’ve stumbled across, featuring the legend that is Locke! What a guy!

My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Hell hath no fury then a woman scorned

This weekend, Taz chose a film that we could go and watch as I was too tired to bother. My hopes of seeing the Miami Vice remake were dashed when I saw the tickets bearing My Super Ex-Girlfriend on them. I feared beforehand that we’d be going to see this though. You’re not going to get much of a review from me because this film was frankly crap! I did fall asleep while watching this as I was tired, but aside from that I just couldn’t believe Uma Thurman could sign up for something this poor. Dearest Taz, next time I choose the film :)

So, to recap, Luke Wilson who plays Matt meets Uma Thurman who is Jenny and all is going well in their relationship. When Jenny lets Matt in on her secret he’s ecstatic as he gets to join the Mile High Club without having to board a plane… He decides that dating Jenny and a super hero will just not work. Big Mistake! She goes all bunny-boiler on him and makes his life a misery as a result. He then turns to G-Girls sworn enemy Professor Bedlam played by Eddie Izzard to get rid of her… - hopefully off our screens forever.

James Morrison - Undiscovered is finally out!

One of the most talented artists to emerge from the UK since Richard Ashcroft

James Morrison has to be one of the UK’s most promising artists in a long time. His incredible blend of blues, soul and alternative rock is mesmerizing. At just 21, he has an extremely promising career ahead of him too. Absorbing influence from greats such as Cat Stevens, Otis Reading and Van Morrison, his debut album Undiscovered shows off the many years of work he has spent on this album.

Undiscovered landed on my doorstep this morning while I was at work of all things! :( I rushed home today, ripped open the packaging and flung the cd into my Xbox 360. Ah, sheer bliss it was I tell ya! You can catch two tracks from the album right now on Uk radio - "You give me something", and "Undiscovered". This is what British music is about, none of that manufactured garbage. You can find him also on Myspace.com

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest

Fifteen men on a dead man’s chest…

So, the long awaited sequel to Curse of the Black Pearl has finally arrived. Now, I should state that Taz was meant to do a mini review of the film, but since she’s too lazy to even get up this Sunday morning I’ll be doing it instead!

Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), master swordsman Will (Orlando Bloom), and the gorgeous Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) all return for another action packed adventurous romp.

The film focuses mainly on Captain Jack Sparrow, who from the previous film now owes a blood debt to the legendary Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) who is a cross between a squid and a man as well as the ruler of the ocean depths and captains the ghostly ship, The Flying Dutchman which is unmatched in the waters in terms of speed. Oh and he also commands the terrifying Kraken…

The key to defeating Davy lies in Jack Sparrow capturing his heart, which is locked away, still beating, in the ‘Dead Man’s Chest’. Jack races against time to find it before the Kraken finds him! If he doesn’t find the chest in time, he’ll be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation in service of Jones. Someone else is also after the chest though as it is rumoured that whoever has it, can control Davy Jones himself…

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Went out last night to watch a film with Taz, which was a night just waiting to go wrong, and boy did it go wrong! The plan for Saturday night was to chill out in a bar for a bit before going to watch Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock’s new film The Lake House.

The date is 06/06/06

We’re all gonna die!! Going to see the film tomorrow, and given that the original three films are probably the most frightening films ever created I can’t see this Hollywood remake even coming close. Hopefully the new remake won’t carry that freaky music from the original because it still gives me nightmares even today. Ooh we’re doomed!

My prediction for 06/06/06: Rottweilers experience a surge in popularity in the US after the release of this film.

X-Men III: The Last Stand

One of the three films I saw today was X-Men III: The Last Stand. Since the first X-Men came out in 2000, I’ve enjoyed watching the first and second films so I couldn’t wait to see this one. It was a ‘cartoon day’ at our nearest cinema so Taz and myself hopped off towards town, because in addition to X3, we could see Ice Age 1 and 2 for a cheap one off price! I love Scrat!

Having seen X3 I have to say that I’m not too impressed. To me the producers tried to do way too much in a short amount of time. Killing off three major characters in a meaningless manner was quite a poor move. It seemed badly planned out anyway. I thought there was meant to be some big ‘war’? The title ‘The Last Stand’ implicates this (in a way) and from the numerous teaser trailers suggest that a big battle is imminent.

The final battle was poor and left me unimpressed. Having about 50 mutants having a street brawl with very little use of their powers was just plain boring. These mutants were meant to be the most menacing threat to the world and here they are punching and throwing each other about!

Big Brother 7 Arrives!

Big BrotherHehehehehehe, I have never laughed so hard in ages. Uk Big Brother began last night, and this year’s housemates are the most varied over the top lot yet. I rarely pay attention to this show, and ignored last years because it was full of pathetic imbeciles. Apparently the house mates are a reflection of people in modern society - if this is true this country is truly screwed.

3 Fit females, 3 rather disturbing females, 1 seriously deranged gay male, 1 rich arrogant git from London, a nutter who can’t stay still for a split second, and a few more oddballs. I tell ya, with BB7 and the World Cup looming, it’s going to be a cracking summer! Just need to goto France to get more booze in a weeks time and I’m sorted :)

Lacuna Coil - Karmacode - 1 Day Away!

Lacuna Coil return with their fourth album Karmacode which is due to be released here in the Uk on April 3rd. They’re an Italian gothic metal band with one of the most unique sounds I’ve ever heard. Anyways, for more info have a look at the Wikipedia for info about them.
