Darren/Kain....

The Xmod does NOT require ANY other sound card! It is an external USB sound card. You can connect your computer from the USB to the Xmod then to your speakers.... ALL without any other sound card. You computer may or may not have another sound card and it will work just fine.... Heck, you can even connect external power to it and it will act as a sound card/sound enhancer when connected to an MP3 player.. no computer required... if you wish... I use it as my only sound card on my computer.

Hi Alex,
So sorry for a very late reply, I hardly give this blog much attention now because of Twitter.

You can't use the Xmod as a soundcard no. The Xmod compliments a soundcard, so it will always need one to perform processing on. Hope that helps.

Hey
Can I just ask. Does this act as an external sound card? Aka Can I plug it into my usb and then have a 3.5mm jack going from it into my speakers AUX input without any sound card in my computer?
