One thing to note that I should mention is how warm the charger and the batteries get. This is quite normal with any battery charger, and the dock along with the batteries does get warm to the touch, but no more than that. However it is advisable not to touch the gold battery pack contacts after charging because they will be extremely hot. Needless to say, you will get a nasty small burn should you do so!
The charger measures 2.7"x3" and is about the height of your average mobile phone. Its design is contoured and smooth and compliments the Xbox 360 rather nicely too. It does not even look out of place sitting on my desk.
Conclusion
It is hard to fault this simple little device in any way. It is a charger, which charges two Microsoft Battery packs simple. No longer should you have an excuse for not being able to compete with friends over Xbox Live and should you have two packs then you will always have an additional spare if a friend pops round for a game.
The simple charging indicators let you know if a battery is fully charged, and you can begin using it even if it is partially charged. The bottom line is that you will always have one or two fully charged batteries on standby. For just under £20 it is hard to go wrong with this charger.
Pro’s:
- Clear visual charging indicators
- Small and compact design compliments the Xbox 360
