Happy New Year and all that!
How was everyone’s festive break then? Mine was rather dull. Prior to breaking up from work I had all these little tidbits of things that I wanted to do, but instead I ended up doing other things. For example I wanted to re-wire my bedroom but instead ended up clearing out junk from the room. Christmas Day came and went faster than anything I could have imagined.
The arguing over who was to cut the Christmas Turkey once again resumed from last year as me and my father threatened each other with knives. Yes I know the head of the household normally does this task but he’s always done it wrong! I knows better I tell ye! He also had picked out possibly the worst champagne from Marks & Spencer’s ever – it was almost undrinkable.
No it wasn’t about moocows
This is a slightly random question, but how many of you have dreams you can recall? For four years, since I started work at my present er workplace I have very rarely dreamt. Actually I probably have but cannot recollect any memories of what they were about. Suffice to say that when I do wake up and realised I’ve actually dreamt, it gets me thinking – A LOT.
Due to me being a complete angry idiot, I don’t drive so I have to wake up at 4am every morning. Given that I go to sleep at around 11:30pm, I get around 4.5hrs sleep every day, hardly enough for a raging teenager let alone a 32yr old male living in London. Why so early? Well the buses are pretty poor over here and it takes me an hour and a half to get to work, when it would take 30mins by car. So I am convinced that it is due to my short sleep durations that I no longer get any sleep. This really peeves me off, but is partially my fault because I don’t want a car.
Beer ftw liek
I write to you having consumed about nien pients of beer. I can’t see nor focus conerectly at the screen at this stage as ai rwrite this. Let me state that aprporx 30mins ago I was on a bus heading from Rayners Lane, Middlesex towards Wealdstone, Harrow to be precise. I have just returned from my Work Christmas party bash – and I am auterrly ratarsed beyond belief. I had a pretty hard morning to be honest, so the only thing I required comme 14:00 was BEER – A LOT OF BEER. I was thursty as hell, and I had no minteral water bottle on my desk either. Come 14:00 myself and a mate rushed towards Club 2000 and swigged down as many pints as possible to quentch our thirtst. Suffice to say we were ewrecked afterwards. It’s funy walking home in the dark, its hard to actually walk out wehere you are until a car beps its horns at you. I wonder if my mate reached home? Guess I’ll find out tomorows!
I caught the H10 bus after the xmas do endewd at around 5pm. Not sure how I got on the right bus but I did and I saw the must gorgeous baby (and mmommy) too! Anmyway, had a great time, I am aseeing stars and feel dizzy! Can’t wirght anymore or gf might kill me, nn!
Too much food 🙁
Just a quick update! I’ve just uploaded two more game reviews to the Reviews section, Full Auto and WWE Smackdown 2007.
How was Christmas for everyone? Did the Xmas dinner go according to plan? I celebrated slightly early this year, and spent it with my parents and annoying Ayesha who came to stay. Christmas Eve was spent with some close friends of mine. I’d not seen them in absolutely ages, so I spent some much needed time with them and their gorgeous little baby Arianna, man she is cute! So far I’ve spent these holidays getting much needed R&R. I’ve badly needed this after a hectic end of year at work. Now I’ve got to get in shape for 2007, right now I feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow man from Ghostbusters…
I finish work this week!
At work right now at present, I find myself just counting the hours, and days that go by. I’m constantly staring at the calendar sitting on my desk. Lately I’ve been very reserved and quiet at work. I’m sick of working, travelling etc and I just want to get away from it all. Don’t get me wrong here, I love my job and have one of the most enjoyable jobs anyone could have but lately as the year comes to a close, I just want out. I’m not alone either from my scant observations of my colleagues. Everyone seems to be taking extended breaks, extended loo breaks, and just generally walking around wasting time, just to make the day progress that little bit quicker. Sadly we have another week of work left and break up on the 22nd Dec, so they’ve got another 4 days of boredom to kill. It doesn’t help by the fact that my mates up North in Manchester and Coventry all broke up from work on the 8th of December. It’s my favourite time of the year though, Winter and Christmas is here so there’s nothing that can get me down.
Anyway, the second of four parties was this week. I didn’t want to go to this one, which was at the Royal Spice in London, but went anyway. It was dull, and the moment the drinks started flowing, everyone was kicking back the wine, champers, beer, cider and wotnot like there was no tomorrow. Not too sure what else happened at the party because I was totally wasted like everyone else. I am, however unclear about a few things though:
