As Xmas Approaches…

What celebrating will you be doing this year hmmm?

I think I’ve scared away my frequent visitors with all the Xbox 360 chat I’ve been doing recently of late! So to bring the people back, I ask you readers – What will you be up to this Xmas? Christmas is here once again, my favourite time of the year!

Everyone is happy, joyous and all that crap and…no wait. Everyone is still flippin miserable, not one damn shop out there in London has got a Baby Jesus in a manger display in their shop windows. It’s Sale this, and Sale that. Has everyone actually forgotten the meaning of Christmas and what it represents? Now I’m not a religious person, actually I’m not religious one bit but Christmas still means a lot to me, so it just gets to me when I don’t see stuff like that.

I always get chirpy around this time of the month, although I’m still amazed at how fast the year has progressed by. I mean, I still remember in detail exactly what I did last Xmas…drunk and sickly for the most part. This year I’ve been hoping to go to Hannover, Germany to visit my pals over there but I think I’ve left it a bit late to get my ticket, let alone make quick preparations to leave.

I just don’t know what to do this Xmas. Most people spend it with friends and family. All my friends have more or less immigrated out of the Uk, so that’s one idea gone down the pan. I don’t really have any proper family here, so that’s another thing out the way. I could spend it with my parents but then again I did that last year! I might call some work colleagues over for Xmas instead and have a get together dinner party or something. Right now given the situation, it doesn’t seem so bad.

w00t! Xmas is here, and I’ve got two weeks of freedom to attempt to work on bits of this weblog, where in reality I’ll be spending hours just fixing things I’ve broken. So Xmas…it’s that time of the year again! Time flies doesn’t it? I mean, I can still remember precisely what I was doing last xmas on this very day, which really worries me to some extent because I should ask myself as to weather 2005 has been that dull a year that I can recall the events from the previous year.

To be honest 2005 has been the best year in a very, very long time. Things on the job front were brilliant, finances good, love life=non existant, and most of all I’ve met some amazing people at work. Oh, and I got a lovely Cow xmas card from a mate! Brilliant! Cheers Pr!

I’m still busy making changes to the blog, as well as learning about PHP and other malarky to modify various files here and there. Now that December is here, I’ve suddenly got myself a crisis! Too much to do, and bugger all time to do it!

Five Xmas parties from work alone!
Still have to buy presents!
Still have yet to send out xmas cards!
Still can’t find a flamin Xbox 360! – Got one!
Still need to find a nice black, dark and dangerous shirt to buy for said xmas party…
Electricity, Phone and Gas bill arrived this morning.

Oh and because it’s all cold over here in the Uk, getting a bus on time that isn’t packed to bursting is about as hard as finding an Xbox 360 right now. Packed with squabbling children who get in for free, packed with old people and their giant zimmer frames or buggy things, either that or it’s packed with women shoppers who carry around half of Harrods in their hands! Don’t you just love December?
